Powder coating is a dry finishing process where electrostatically charged powder is applied to a metal part and then oven-cured into a hard, durable finish. It's tougher, thicker, and longer-lasting than traditional wet paint.

How long does powder coating last?

With proper prep, an oven-cured powder finish can easily last 10–20+ years on daily-driven parts and even longer on parts that aren't outside 24/7. It resists chipping, fading, and chemicals far better than paint.

Is powder coating better than paint?

For metal parts, yes. Powder gives better chip resistance, UV resistance, chemical resistance, and a more uniform finish. Paint still has a place for repairs and blending body panels, but for bolt-on parts, powder wins.

Does powder coating prevent rust?

Powder coating provides an excellent barrier to moisture, salt, and chemicals. Combined with proper sandblasting and a compatible primer where needed, it dramatically slows or eliminates surface rust.

Absolutely. Aluminum wheels are one of the most common jobs we do — factory refresh, color changes, two-tone, satin bronze, gloss black, and more.
